Where did you get your mortgage from?? And how much was the interest? And how much did you put down for a down payment? FH and I are starting to seriously think about buying a house and we just want to make sure everything will go ok. Thanks!!!

We locked our rate at 5.75% at commerce yesterday, putting down 42%. Our mtg guy told us to lock asap just b/c 30 year rates may be going up....Good Luck.!

Jumbo mortgages are mortgages for over a certain amount.
We got our mortgage through mortgage master (did not love them) - my boss told us to use lending tree.com - kind of cheesy but good in the end since everyone has a different deal in terms of buying points vs straight rates.
Our mortgage has since been bought by Citigroup - but it doesn't matter - it is only who you send the checks to.
there are a ton of different options out there, you might just want to talk to someone you trust to get some different ideas. My only advice is to get a fixed rate loan (that way you won't get burned along the line).
Best of luck - it can be stressful but it is great when you own your house.
