I looked at one this past weekend and am in love with it and have been thinking about it, but since it was the first place I went to I want to look some more!!!

I tried on a ton of dresses before I tried on my dress. 2 of then I actually really liked a lot but I always had my dress in the back of my mind and knew I wasn't going to make a decision until I was able to try it on.
The second I even just saw it on the hanger I was sold. Putting it on only made the decision that much more clear. It had everything I was looking for and I remember thinking when looking in the mirror that I couldn't see myself getting married in anything else.

Trust your gut! You will know when you find YOUR dress... whether its the first one you try on, or the 100th! I knew I found the one when I tried it on, but did not buy it on the spot. I went to about 4 other salons and tried the same dress on in each one of them! Finally at the last place I went, I did not even see the dress on the rack to bring in and try on --- the attendant told me I had to try on this dress, I put it on and it was the dress... again!!! This sealed the deal for me... I knew it was my dress!

honestly...i didn't cry or was like omg this is it...im very picky and change my clothes a few times before leaving the house...
i just loved the dress and it totally fit the look i was going for so i just said thats it! i found it no more looking!!

I think you'll know. I loved many, many dresses. I probably tried on over 100. I could just picture myself walking down the aisle in this dress. It made me feel beautiful and bridely. I didn't cry though, no angels sang on high, there were no rainbows and unicorns. I just felt special. Good luck!!
ETA: Don't rush and buy something you're only kinda happy with! You have a year and a half still before your wedding! I didn't buy my dress til 9 months out. So use the time you have- you only ever get to shop for your wedding dress once! Live it up!

Im pretty picky. But I really didnt go to too many places. I knew what I wanted but walked away with something I didnt think i would wear. You just know. Dont drive yourself crazy with trying on too many its not worth it. If you love it then just get it and dont stree over it. If you didnt want it then you would know

I wanted to 'feel' like the dress was the one but I didn't. I went to 6 stores and tried on at least 6-7 at each and I was so done with shopping for dresses at the end. I narrowed it down to 2 dresses that I really liked a lot and fit me very well that I knew I was going to be comfortable in. It came down to the price for me, I got a Justin Alexander sample for $450, I couldn't walk away from it because it fit me perfectly and because it was so cheap. I'm customizing it by adding a sweet heart neckline, pick ups and a rhinestone beaded sash..

I knew - it was the first dress I tried on and I totally imaged myself looking like that in a dress. I also knew FH would love it, and more than anything I couldn't imagine myself wearing anything else. I tried on 3 more after that just to try on, but in the end, stuck w/ the first one because it really was my dress. I also squealed and laughed hystarically and then yelled 'Im saying yes to this dress!!!' (it wasn't Kleinfields) lol

I actually tried my dress on at the end of a long day of shopping, so I was like 'whatever... I had enough... Let's go home'. A couple weeks later I tried on the sister dress and realized that I really liked the other one I tried on before, so I just ordered it without even trying it on again! And I'm still very happy with my choice!

When I found my dress I knew it was what I wanted, my mom loved it but was freaking out because I wasn't crying... she's seen too many damn wedding shows and was like no you're supposed to cry.... unfortunately I'm just not that type of person so we bought it anyway! lol. I love it but once you get it stop looking around, you'll just drive yourself crazy.

I just went to try on dresses for the first time this weekend and the same thing happened to me. I found two I liked at the first place, one I loved. I went to try on more dresses because I felt I had to, to see what else was out there.
It makes me feel like I don't want to make the wrong choice and there MIGHT be something better haha (this is btw, exactly how I was when dating ).
The more I tried on dresses, the more I thought the first one was it!
I am going to try two more places just to make sure lol.

i never had the 'this is the one' feeling, but i had the 'wow i look skinny' feeling. even better in my opinion.

my dress was actually found before DH and i were technically engaged.
I loved to try on wedding gowns (comes from pageant days), and needed a new evening gown (for a pageant) decided to waste some time trying on dresses....
Tried one on, came out of hte dressing room in tears saying 'I found my pretty pretty princess dress'...
We get engaged, i try on dresses, nothing compares, wound up getting it 2 years before the wedding because it had been discontinued and never regretted it. I loved my dress

I never had that 'feeling'. I just didn't.
BUT I did find a great dress that I actually love more now then when I bought it. Strangley enough, it was a dress that my sister picked for me because she thought 'it looked like me'. When one of my bridesmaid saw the dress she said the same thing! So, don't be afraid to take others advice.

I def 'felt' it as soon as I put it on.
I have to say, I was ready to walk out of there and was pissed and annoyed at the saleswoman but then as soon as I put on the dress it was like 'hmmm ok it's all better now'.

I didn't cry or anything but I had a gut feeling...it was more how I felt in it and I loved it so much, I didnt want to confuse myself by trying on anymore dresses.

I had similar experiences to what alot of girls here have said. I fell in love with two different dresses the first day of trying dresses on. Each dress was beautiful but neither was 100% what I wanted. I went out the second day and the first dress I put on was it. It was a combination of the first two dresses that I tried on. You will know!! When I put my dress on the other two that I was confused about weren't even a factor to me anymore. Goodluck :)
