Girls that know or knew about your shower..

Well after many different incidents, and really wanting to be surprised..after process of elimination I figured out that my shower is next Saturday..I cried and then got over it lol..I'm very thankful to even be having one. Anyway most of my friends, immediate family and BP know that I know. My question is should I be there greeting the guests or come a little later? This is so weird and wasn't planned and I don't know what the heck to do I feel really awkward lol I'm wondering if I should just walk in after everyone is there and yell SURPRISE!!! to them! Lol

What are you girls doing? TIA!

since the cat is out of the bag i would be there to say hello to everyone as they come in, then you can relax and enjoy the rest of the party!

Hmm i haven't thought about that. A friend of mine knew about hers and she came a lil late then made her rounds and said hello to everyone. I think I'm gonna do that

I arrived about 1/2 hour later. Everyone clapped when I walked in. I still had the element of being surprised because of all of the people, gifts, and decor.

I don't exactly know when it is...but I have a strong feeling I know when...I already showed my FH my Oscar winning suprise look. lol.

lol. i have a feeling i know when mine is.
considering my sisters are the busiest people i know i did process of elemination as to what weeekend they dont have an event to attend. but i will walk in and be surprised! :)

i'd come a little late so that gives your family time to set up the decor/favors etc that are still a surprise to you

mines this Sunday, and only my FH and my MOH knows I know about it. My moms been so cute trying to tell me I need to make sure I'm over her house at 130 and not a minute earlier LOL... I'm going to ham it up and pretend its a complete surprise!

Go early so you have time to see all of the decorations and stuff before people get there and you get overwhelmed!

Is your mom throwing the shower? I would ask her what she would rather you do. I'm REALLY hoping I don't find out about mine but if I did I think my mom would be more upset than I would so I'd def ask her.

She is and The whole time I felt like she wanted me to know, only because she was so excited and wanted to talk about it all with me. We're always together we even work together so I overheard where it was too..But I specifically said I wanted to be surprised..and her and my sis just weren't thinking when they said certain things so I pieced it together ...but she said I should come in a little after it starts..so I guess that 's what I'll do..Thanks SEXICONE

my friend knew about hers, but she didn't know location , so that was the surprise. We picked her up a little later so the guests could get situated and then she greeted everyone when she got there. HTH!

I made my mom tell me. I think they wanted it to be a surprise but I kept fighting them about it. There was just no way! I'd figure it out anyway when a few OOT guests showed at my house the day before!! I told her not to tell me where it was, but she's already told me it's at a restaurant, it's a lunch, and it's 3 hours.
And I'm kinda not happy with the whole thing anymore because it's getting close, I have no idea who to give my guest list to, and FH had to call some of his family members to make sure they could come because the place had a minimum and I was freaking out because I really didn't know who would come....and at that point I was way too involved in my own shower and wanted nothing to do with it.
So, I'm hoping they get the place decorated and set up and then have me come in, but it's so short I don't think there's enough time for me to come in significantly late! I wish it would just be at someone's house but my parents have a 2 bedroom apartment and 10 people in there is cramped, and no one else offered to host it.

i knew about it and they wouldnt let me come to greet everyone haha they still did the whole surprise thing even though everyone knew i knew haha

I had planned to be there to greet them.

Then I had major girl-drama with my hair that morning.

All my curls just died on me and I ended up having to re-do my hair and straighten it.

I ended up getting there LATE.

I soooo wish I could have been there to greet. It was awkward knowing about it and arriving after the guests.

why not ask the person who is hosting your shwer if they would like you to appear surprised or if you should be there to greet them. take your cue from that
