Looks like I will be attending my hearing in 4-6 weeks, I have mixed emotions about this

no its a good thing ren. know why? because they will SETTLE! they dont wanna go to court.
think of this, who is gonna side w a company against a girl who has MS and is getting married? really...
4-6 weeks is awesome. it gets it out of the way soon!

You are right Amy, thanks for putting it in a positive perspective!!! The paperwork said the hearing would last 2 days if it happened.

these are things i learned recently from a HUGE litigator in nyc.
judges and juries side w a plaintiff over a company usually. They see the company as the evil greedy man and the plaintiff as the person who was screwed.
its good to let judges juries see the plaintiff and not just let the lawyer or representative go bc it shows you are a real person and that creates sympathy.
companies always wanna settle. they will drag it out until the last second but they do NOT wanna go to court or in front of a judge.
my moms case was settled as they selected a jury. i mean they were actually calling in people and the ins co was like look...we've changed our minds.
really, its gonna work out.

Be careful...my mom was involved in a lawsuit and they pulled random stuff off her facebook that made her seem 'happy' and not distressed. Just be careful what you post here. I hope it all goes well for you!
