Are you sending an must play list or telling them which songs to play outside the special songs?
My band told me they play to the taste of the crowd. We discussed our favorite styles, but they play towards the nationality and if the crowd is dancing to a certain style more than other. Hope this helps.
I am picking songs off their list and also asking them to learn 3-4 songs we really want to hear.
They sent us a list of songs they knew. We told them what we did and didnt want played off the list. They also learned a few songs for us.

I am basically giving them a list of what NOT to play and everything else is fair game

We made a list of about 30 favorite songs (off their list) and a do not play list. BUT it is not guaranteed they will play our fav's...which is fine with us! they have to do their thing and keep everyone moving!\
Yup, our band has a list so we highlighted the songs we want and they also told us to list out any other songs that were not on the list. We are submitting it this week and then I believe we have a meeting right before the wedding to discuss details.
