The prongs of my ring kind of angle out - which will not allow for a flush fit wedding band.
What are you doing about this - if you have this problem?
I was thinking about getting a ring that bevels in - to allow for that little space near the diamond to get a closer fit.
I want an antique pave (fillagry or whatever) band too!
post pics if you have too! thanks

Re: Girls w/ Antique-style rings....
For now I just have a really thin platinum band, but in time I will get a pave band too. They don't sit exactly flush, but I like it. The simple band really makes my e-ring stand out.

Re: Girls w/ Antique-style rings....
I have the same dilemma. . .
I met someone with an engagement ring that's very similar to mine (1925 European cushion-setting) and she suggested going for an antique wedding ring -- which looked great with her engagment ring.
Here's something I found on antiquejewelrymall.com that looks like what I want. Too bad its so $$$!
I have a similar problem, only I have an antique setting AND an oval diamond, creating a gap. I think I have to have a curved band to sit flush with the e-ring setting. I am going to the designer of my e-ring to see what he suggests.....try going back to where FI got the ring.

the only thing you can really do is get a curved band.. unless you wear your e ring on your right hand-- which is what I am going to do.. I am having a ring cutom made-- will probably get next week.

This is what I did--they made a curved wedding band to fit around my e-ring. I wanted to wear both bands on the same hand for maximum bling
ETA: I had the same concern as Bunny regarding being able to wear the band alone if I wanted to. It turns out that if I take off the band and flip it around, it actually looks okay on its own, but that's if you're alright with taking off your wedding band (I know some people don't plan to ever take them off).

Re: Girls w/ Antique-style rings....
this was a HUGE dilemma for me. In the end i decided to have the ring made to be the same height, but not molded to fit with the band. i want to be able to wear it on it's own for certain ocasions, and the 'fitting' technique would have it looking pretty funky. But i stil go back and forth...
The jeweler assured me I could always change my mind down the line and he could make it fit 'like they were born together.'

i wound up getting my band made special and if you look close you can see the litttle edges that were made to fit into the crevices....
I was able to find a curved band that fit around my ring. I was going to have one made, but I didn't want to spend the money. I'm eventually going to get a nicer band and wear my E-ring on my right hand.

That is what my band looks like too! Mine will not fit right up against it, but I did not want a curved band because I know that there will be times when I want to wear my wedding band with out my e-ring.
