Girls - watch yourselves on Canal St - I was robbed!

Friday night I was meeting FH in Little Italy and had been walking on Canal Street about two blocks before I realized the necklace he'd given me for our first Christmas together had been ripped off my neck. I never felt anything and never saw anyone take it, but I know it was ripped off. Watch yourselves & your jewelry if you're in that area. I learned the hard way!

I am soooo sorrry!!!!!! You scared me a little because soon I will be studying around Canal St. but I think you have to be careful where ever you go. I usually never wear my jewerly when I go to the city.

I always tuck my necklaces under my shirt. Its a scary world out there. They are really sneaky over there.

That stinks!! I was once in Penn Station with a backpack, and felt it move on my back. I turned around and a guy pulled his hand out and ran away. He didn't get anything, but I was so mad

There's no possible way the chain got loose. It's a very sturdy clasp, and I've worn it every day since I got it. It's never slipped. I even showed the chain to FH (somehow it stayed around my neck) and he could see that it had been bent, as if someone tugged at it. I was so upset about it, and we reported it to the police, but they wrote up the report as lost property and not a robbery. I'm on Canal Street every day, so it had me very worried.

I have no idea where a bracelet came loose...but I walked from 57th to Penn...then to my train...then into the parking lot to my car...when I got in...the bracelet fell off in the car...

I couldn't have been any luckier...
