My dress is diamond white, the lady at the tux place believes that my FH should wear an ivory shirt. I don't agree. What color shirt is your FH wearing?

My dress is white white, But I tried on several diamond white. I would def do a white white for tuxes. I think diamond white is closer to white than ivory by far.

yea my dress was diamond white and I had FH wear ivory tie/vest with a white shirt- it was PERFECT!
see how it photographs: [ps- my sash was not champagne! it was also diamond white, same as rest of dress, but the lighting in this pic made it yellow]

DH looks great! That's what we picked as well..

NO WAYYY!! He should definitely wear a white shirt. Diamond white is much closer to white than ivory.
My dress is diamond white and my FH will be wearing a white shirt for sure!

I originally thought ivory as well, but when my dress came in it was MUCH whiter than I remembered. So, now my shoes don't really match...but I will be switching FH to a white shirt.
(He's still fighting for ivory though)
ETA: I just went back and looked at the pics from previous brides...I don't think ivory looks bad with diamond white...maybe I'll let FH have his way.

I had a diamond white dress and DH wore a white shirt. I think Ivory would have looked too yellow compared to diamond white.

E, will he be wearing all white/ivory? (shirt, vest, and tie)?
If so, then I think you should either go with:
white shirt, vest and tie or white shirt, ivory vest and tie
I would NOT go with an ivory shirt. Next to diamond white, ivory is more yellow. But you can do the ivory vest and tie to make the white shirt look not so white.
Some diamond white dresses are more white than others. Personally, I'd go with white for all three.
