Girls wearing ivory??

I am so undecided, I'm wearing Maggie Sottero Sabelle in ivory with pewter and gold lace, as is my FG in ivory, my bm dresses are black and all flowers are ivory and red. Want the FH and groomsmen to be in classic tuxes but what color shirt does FH wear??? White or Ivory? I dont want my dress to look discolored in pics???

I wore Ivory and my DH wore a white shirt with an ivory vests and tie. The GM wore white shirst and orange ties and black vests.

my dress is maggie too with gold in it.. so the GMs are wearing white shirts and wine vests (thats the color of the BMs dresses) and FH is wearing white shirt and ivory vest and tie to match me...

i am nervous a little too but i am going to go with their suggestion... but after seeing the pic im not worried at all! thanks!

im stuck too! i went to one tux place that told me that if FH or anyone wears white, it will make my ivory dress look weird in pics!! he got me so freaked out!! so i don't know what to do either..

and, my dress is ivory with gold netting/lace over it, so i dont know.. i was thinking ivory shirt with a gold vest and tie.

Is your dress light ivory?? Then he would be in white. If you look a lot of places have shirts where their ivory looks almost pale yellow. Or bring a swatch of your dress when picking everything out.

I was told that white works better with Ivory dress.

Just to be sure, maybe asking the photographer?

I would also pay close attention to the ivory of your particular designer because colors vary from designer to designer sometimes.

For many reasons, you want your guys wearing white shirts. This whole ivory shirt business is sort of penny-wise and pound-foolish if you ask me.

To clarify:

1. Selecting an ivory tux shirt with *drastically* reduce your shirt options.

2. The shirt will look yellowish.

3. You will reduce the stark contrast between the white of the shirt and the black of the tuxedo jacket, which is part of the beauty of the tux.

4. The tux shirt will not make your dress look yellow, as confirmed by various clothes mavens and photographers.
