Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

I have 2 questions:

1. Where are you buying your candy?

2. What candies are you using?

Thanks!!

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

I'm not buying my candy from the smae places... I'll just search for them on google and see who has the best deals for what.
The candy will be in our colors which are turquoise, pink, white and black and so far I'm thinking of using:
M&Ms
JellyBelly Jelly Beans
Gummy Bears
Raffaellos
Candy from Lindt in our colors
Snow Caps
and maybe hershey's bars with personalzed wrappers

Not sure whatelse

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

I bought old school candy at candywarehouse.com. My mom bought bulk everyday candy from Costco. I'm also going to go to either the grocery store or Target to pick up the ones my mom couldn't buy at Costco.

This is my candy list:

1. Fun Dips
2. Pop Rocks
3. Blow Pops
4. Candy Sticks
5. M&M's
6. Skittles
7. Gummy Bears
8. Pez (Hello Kitty)
9. Twizzlers
10. Sour Patch Watermelon
11. Gummy Peach Rings
12. Japanese boxed gum

I may also add chocolate covered pretzels and Roche/Lindt chocolate. Undecided as of now.

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

What containers are you girls using to put the candy in?

I bought a big martini glass from AC Moore and a few rectangular vases but I don't have enough.

Where did you buy your scoops?

I don't want to spend too much on the containers/scoops. Suggestions?

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

I'm doing a small candy buffet. After V Day I bought a couple of bags of candy hearts and heart shaped lollypops. I'm going to sam's club to get a few big bags of m&m's and mini-chocolate bars. I'm not sure what else I'm going to get. I really want a giant pez dispenser :)

I think I'm just going to buy bowls and scoops from the dollar store to put them in.

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

Hmm...if I got Chocolate Twizzlers would they stick out really badly considering I don't have brown in my theme, or are they dark enough to maybe pass for black? (don't rememebr what they look like)...what about the strawberry twizzlers passing off for pink?

Re: Girls Who Are Doing -or have done- Candy Buffets!

I've never heard of chocolate twizzlers.... do they taste good?
I was thinking caramel squares (my fave!), chocolate covered pretzels, regular twizzlers, M&Ms, some hard candies, some chewy candies, mini chocolate bars... I've gotta go over this with FH..

Thanks for the help girls!
