Girls who are doing photos before the ceremony........

Can you share your timelines? My FH and I have decided that we're going to see each other before the ceremony, so we are trying to figure this out.

I'm not used to the time restraints........back home (Canada) we have 3-4 hours between ceremony and reception for photos but here, there is only 1 hour. So we just don't have the time......we didn't want to see each other before but we just don't have the option anymore.....

I know...it Creates a lot of issues! But since you are getting married in the summer, you will still have plenty of time for pics in the daylight- I don't have that advantage. We are not going to cocktail hour to by us a little more time. I'm also not doing the receiving line or mass at the church and my family is havign a heart attack!!!!

if your ceremony starts at 4:30, why not start pics around 1 pm, so you have plenty of time for pics!

i think getting up and start getting ready around 9 or 10 am (depending on # of girls getting ready, if you are going to salon or having someone come to you for mu/hair, etc.) what time is the limo coming? the photographer?

You will make a specail entrance when you see him for the first time...usually the groom will be turned around and you give him a tap on the shoulder. I'm sure it will be breathtaking whether at the church or before!

Our Stylists, Photographer and Makeup people will be at our room at 8:30am. We have a big party (9 girls) plus both mom's and me. They stylists said they will need atleast 3.5 hours for hair..........

I know you're right.........I guess when you have visioned it the other way, it's just upsetting that it's going to be another way. I know the photos of us seeing each other for the first time will be amazing, so I'm excited about that.......

i know what you mean. i was the one that held back on the decision of doing pics before the ceremony. i was adamantly against it, and then i finally gave up.

now i realize it was the best decision that we could have made. trust me, you'll be happy with it the moment you start taking pics!! it was so great to get it out of the way, and it calmed both my DH and i so much.

are you going to pay for a little OT for your limos? if they come to pick you up for pics 3 hrs. before your ceremony, then they would need to be there after the ceremony to take you to your hall for the CH. have you thought this part thru yet?

Exactly...They will probably be even sweeter because when you see each other for the first time at the church you can't tell in the pics and you will still have those anyway. Now, you will have a whole new set of photos that most people don't have! The photographer will also be able to catch contact and emotions of the two of you-it will be great! Good luck and don't stress~

We actually decided to rent Yukons instead of limos.......so we rented three of them for the entire party, which means we have them for the entire day. We just rented them from a car rental company for the day, so we don't have time limits for the vehicles, thank goodness!!!!

We are doing our pictures before our ceremony also. I was really against it at first but I know it is the best thing for our situation. We are getting married at our RH and the ceremony begins at 6:30. So, there really is no other time but before especially since I would like to do some outside pictures. Pictures will begin ay my house at 1:30.

We're seeing each other before the ceremony also. Here is what we're doing:

I wake up around 8am and my hair and makeup girls meet me at my house and start getting me ready.

My BM's arrive around 11:30 and we take some pics with the photog/videog

My FI and his boys pick us up in the limo around 1pm and we all get in the car. The photog/videog will capture my FI seeing me for the first time etc....

We take 4.5 hours driving around and taking pics (we're doing the city and LI)

I arrive at Flowerfield at about 4:30-5pm and our parents meet us there. we all take pics together at FF

The guests show up at 6:30 and coctail hour starts (I hide for one hour )

The outdoor (PRAY for great weather) ceremony starts at 8pm and that's when I make my GRAND enterance for everyone to see!!!

We party till the end of the night

Our ceremony started at 6:30 and we met up at 4:30 to take pictures....it worked out wonderfully and we set up a great way for us to see each other for the first time, FM me for details!!

08 crashing. What I have planned is the following:

Wake up by 8. am.

Hair/Makeup - salon down the road- makeup up in air now may do my own by 9 a.m.

Bridal Party - 2 bridesmaids, my own bestman, fg & rb get here by 11:30 a.m. They all get ready have some sandwiches out and snacks nothing messy.

EVERYONE dress by the time photographer arrives at 12:30p.m.

Take pics at house for approx. until 1:30 p.m.

Photographer leaves to meet fh and one groomsman at off site photography site near the house (about 20 min away) by 2p.m.. I shortly leave after photographer approx. give him 15 minutes and arrive by 2:15p.m.

Offisite photographs done by 3:00 p.m.

Arrive at CLM by 3:30 p.m.

Take more shots around the hall until 4 p.m. when we start to relax for ceremony start time of 4:30p.m.

Now i will discuss this with photographer and maybe leave have him leave the house after a half hour of shooting to meet fh and this way we have more room and rest time at the catering hall (about 30 mins) and that gives us more flex time. Or perhaps he will start a half hour earlier.

My backup plan for if it rains is my house (take our time and start later) - possible photographer studio - catering hall.

Photog gets to my house at 2:30, pics with BM's and my family. 3:30, meet FH and GM's at beach, we see each other there. 4:30 go to golf course, ceremony and reception are there, more BP and us pics. 5:30 pics are over and we go over ceremony w/ maitre d', ceremony is at 6 HTH

I would talk to your photographer about the timeline...thats what we did... she told us when we need to be finished getting ready by, when we start the formal pics of fh and I, us and the bp, us and parents, etc. and when she wants to be finished by. So when I scheduled my hair and make-up I just told them when we need to be done and she figured out when she needs to come.
