Girls who are going away for their bachelorette parties...

can you give me some more info?

how did you plan it?
how many people are coming?
how much is everyone paying per person?

i would loooove to go somewhere, but i'm worried about it costing too much!

My group of friends always goes away for bachelorette parties...south beach, las vegas etc. So when it was time for mine it was a no brainer....thank god. My MOH sent out an email inviting everyone who we would want to come and we took it from there. We priced out a few flights and rooms and gave everyone a ballpark number. Then people decided if they could or couldn't afford it.

We are going to South Beach staying at the Sagamore from Thursday - Sunday.I have about 9 - 10 girls coming and it's going to be like $500 each for hotel and flight.

We are also staying at the Sagamore!! But our flights were really expensive for the weekend that we are going. How many rooms did you book for 9-10 ppl?

We are also staying at the Sagamore!! But our flights were really expensive for the weekend that we are going. How many rooms did you book for 9-10 ppl?

We are going the last week of April and we are getting 2 rooms. I think the price of the rooms are $520.

Normally either a bride will let her BM's know she wants to go away or the BM's will ask what the bride wants to do and she can tell them at that point.

In my case, I told my girls that I really want to go to Vegas for a bachelorette party. Right off the bat, one of my BM's (who is in another of our friend's wedding and they are going to South Beach) said she couldn't go, and my MOH (a Dr. with a young baby) said she couldn't go. That only leaves me with ONE BM! This last BM said she would go and one other friend said she'd go too.

So, this being the situation, I am planning my own Vegas Bachelorette Party! My FH wants to do Vegas too, so we are all going to go on the same weekend and the guys will stay at one hotel and do their own thing and us ladies will stay at another hotel and do our own thing. We may meet up one night briefly to hang out for a bit.

So, I sent an email to all of my girl friends and to FH's guy friends telling them that we'd like to go to Vegas and the trip will cost about $550 each for 3-4 people in one room at a nice hotel. I asked them to let me know who wants to go so that the TA can help us find the best flights and hotels and we can get a good rate.

That's about it. We're going from a Thursday to a Sunday. I figure FH's best man and groomsmen can plan the activities for FH and the girls could do the same for me.

For us, I'll probably have a total of 3-6 girls and FH's side will be a total of 4 or 5 guys. We'd put a max of 4 to a room, so anything above 4 brings us to a second room.

My MOH sent out an email for a bachelorette weekend to get everyone's opinions on different places, etc. Most of the girls voted on Vegas- so Vegas it is!
The one negative is that two of my BM's won't be able to make it but we may also do something local as well.

I was going to have my MOH and BM plan it: but timing is too difficult for me (I have to work many weekends), so I've taken this (sigh) upon myself. We're gong to Florida over Memorial Day. Flight will be $300 alone. My FMIL has a condo there & OKed our use...as long as we don't spill anything on their carpet :) I figure it should cost at least $500 with food/activities: BUT most girls aren't going. One is preg, another will prob not get the weekend off, the thrid probably won't be able to afford it. Even so: if it's just me, my MOH and one BM: it will be a great time (and easier to plan).
