Girls who assembled their own pocketfolds...

Original post by coldasice217

What kind of glue did you use? Is it a special type so it doesn't bump up underneath the paper, or that kind of adhesive tape?

Also, if you wouldn't say that spatial relations are your forte, would you recommend attempting to assemble them yourself? Like, I can't imagine the gluing of the main invite would be difficult, but I can be a bit spastic and wouldn't even know how to assemble the ribbon band with the monogram card around the outside.

Clearly I'm panicking about my invite budget, and I just heard it saves 100-200 to self-assemble from Tessa, so....any input would be appreciated!

$5.55 a invite

WOWWWW!!! Ali, what if you made the invite a bit smaller? Would that lower the price to where you can get the added extras?

Well, I looked at the smaller 4x5, and no offense to anyone who has those, but I found them really ugly, and way too small to be legible. So i'd rather lose a ribbon and have a larger invite. The slip-jacket style was another option, and I liked them a lot, but it's only 40 less total, so it's actually a better value to do the pockets and have it be a little more organized than just all in one sleeve. BAH this is agonizing.
