Girls who bought their dresses at a trunk show

What did you do with them after you bought them? Does a dry cleaner store them for you? Where are you doing the alterations?

I know buying from a trunk show can save you mad money. But I am unsure 'how it works.'

I'm on 07 Bride who bought her dress at a trunk show. Are you buying at a sample sale or a trunk show. When you buy at a trunk show, you see samples of dresses that you don't get to take home that day. You still have to order. Unless you're shopping at a sample sale, which means you'd have to take the dress right then and there. I would definitely ask your bridal store, they may let you keep the dress there until your wedding!

Yea, I think it is a lot cheaper. That's why I'm entertaining the thought. But my mom thinks its a bad idea.

a sample sale is alot cheaper, trunk shows are 10-15 percent the most...some are 12.5 %

I bought my dress at a trunk show....but that didn't mean i could take it home. I guess it depends where you buy it. When i bought my dress I got a discount simply beacause I purchased my dress the day of the designer's trunk show. They still have to make it like any other dress. I know sample sales you take home.

Trunk shows are GREAT but then again it depends where you go. I went to Kleinfleds and it is by appointment only so it doesn't get crazy simply because it is a trunk show. If there is a designer you love I would def check it out. They will have every dress he/she made available and new collections as well. I didn't even know my designer when I went, I simply went to look at dresses, and just happen to fall in love with my dress BUT in order to get the discount you have to purchase the dress right then and there. A little bit of pressure awaits you..LoL but if it 's 'your' dress then by all means it is worth it!!!!!!!!!

I was at kleinfelds during a trunk show, they have one every weekend.

Its the same exact thing...its all still by appointments, and you try on your dress as regular, they will tell you about the trunk show going on in case you want to try on dresses from that designer, but you dont have to...If you do try them on, the designer will come over and talk to you about the dress and stuff like that...Otherwise its the exact same thing, and you just get a discount if you buy a dress by that designer

Just a deposit! You can pay in full if you want i guess. But that wasn't my case....LoL

THE deposit at kleinfelds is 60% just so you know
