What did you do with them after you bought them? Does a dry cleaner store them for you? Where are you doing the alterations?
I know buying from a trunk show can save you mad money. But I am unsure 'how it works.'

yes basically a trunk show is just that, a discount on the dress you purchase...otherwise you just go about shopping for your dress the way you normally would and maybe get to speak to the designer thats it.

Also, a lot of times the designer is there at the trunk show and you can meet with them and discuss the dress and they may be able to change the design of it for you -- depending on the designer and if they are willing to work with you. I bought my dress at a trunk show and it is going to take 8 months to a year to be come in. I got a 15% discount on the dress since it was by the designer that was having a trunk show that day.

I recommend Lillette's in Baldwin on Merrick Road. They are great and I found my dress there!

a trunk show is not the same as a sample sale i bought my dress at a trunk show, but it is being ordered new, it just means that a particular designer is being showcased and discounted if you order that day
a lot of places dont discount maggie dresses (the company threatens to pull the line if they do) but if it is an advertised trunk show, they can discount
