Girls who cruise...

...Which is a better time for a HM

Royal Carribean or Carnival.
I am trying to choose between very similar cruises

We took a celebrity cruise, but I think between the two, I would prefer Royal Carribean, JMO.

I'd say RC.

We just got off a celebrity cruise and it's definitely my favorite cruise line to date.

I said RC, I think carnival is more of a party boat with a much younger crowd

We took a cruise out of PR. It went to St Thomas, St Kitts, St Croix, Antigua and St Lucia.

I think it depends what you're looking for in a cruise and what's important to you. I've cruised on both lines and they've been great trips.

However, Carnival, IMO, caters to or has more of a younger crowd, their ships tend to be smaller than RC, but they're all about entertaining and a Party.(notice the emphasis on the P) Also, depending on the time of the year that you choose to travel, you are going to find a lot of children and teenagers on board.

As for Royal Caribbean, their newer ships are all about the wow factor! The ships that I've been on are top of the line. Decor is nice. Now the crowd....well...they cater to an older crowd, is not as alive as Carnival but its still fun. The food is top notch! The clubs are going on but sometimes they're dead...depends on the crowd traveling.

I prefer the quieter vacations so my take is RC. It's more expensive than Carnival, but you'll love it and will not regret it. Freedom & Explorer of the seas are amazing ships!

RC Hands down - Carnival is the Family Fun ship - & I dont want TONS of kids running around on the boat if Im on my HM...JMHO...

I've only cruised twice and carnival both times. Had an amazing time but keep hearing how RC is nicer, but BOTH are god for a younger crowd (Stay away from princess or norwegan, possible celebrity - older). Yes we are looking to have some romantic honeymoon times, but I would rather be on a party both than a boat with 70 yr old retierees in bathing suits - jmo. Off topic... anyways - do RC for the HM!

I think if you defined what you meant by 'better' you may be able to get some more help...

For me, RC had better food and service, but carnival had a better crowd and more of a party atmosphere... but to be honest, the line i liked the best was NCL... If you're as laid back as DH & I, you'll completely enjoy the freestyle cruising!!

I've never personally been on RC, but I've heard GREAT things about them. However, for those who have cruised on RC before, apparently they have been 'cutting back' a decent amount.

I've cruised on NCL 5+ times and love them. Been on 2 Carnival cruises and liked them both but there were definitely more kids on them.

I've been on Princess once and it was the best cruise I've ever been on. Did Celebrity once and it was a much older crowd. My parents did Cunard QM2 and HATED it - they spent $1000 in the spa trying to find something entertaining to do. Also, did Disney when I was a kid, but obviously that's more kid-centered.

FM me if you need more info!

Disagree completely with you about norwegian... It was BY FAR the most entertaining/crazy cruise ive ever been on... there was nothing OLD about it at all...

I think RC is better than carnival. I heard that carnival caters to a younger crowd.

Re: Girls who cruise...

I haven't been on either but I can vouche for Norweigian Cruise Lines (specifically Norweigian Dawn ship). I think NCL is the best and I have such a good time on every cruise I go on - FH's family goes every year. We usually do the 3 day stay in Bermuda so you are at seas for like 3 days, stay in Bermuda for 3 days and then sail back in 2 days.
