Fh and I just went by oursevles...Check with your venue
they told me i can't bring anyone else....it would be $75 per person besides FH and I. I just wanted to see if this was different from what other places did.
We wanted to bring FH's parents bc I don't eat like 90% of the food that will be served (i dont eat red meat, seafood, and am really picky) so we thought it would be good to have more than 1 opinion....but paying $150 dollars seems crazy
when we booked, they told us we'd be able to bring 4 other ppl with us to the tasting, but that just me and FH would pick the menu...did they change this?

WHOA, WHOA.... THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP. WHEN DID U SCHEDULE THIS FOR? I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANYTHING ABOUT THIS YET. I'M NOT YELLING, I'M JUST DOING STUFF THAT REQUIRES CAPS LOCK, SORRY. LOL
i didnt schedule it yet. I had emailed them to ask when we would do it and who we can bring etc. She said she was going to call me today about dates but I probably won't go until March.

We have our tasting on March 7th. We're allowed to bring 4 other people, so we're bringing both sets of parents.

I would tell them that you are a vegetarian and need someone else's opinion and you feel it's unfair you have to pay more bc you have diet limitations. Say to them you are spending X amount of money already they should allow you to bring atleast 1 person at no cost.

They usually allow it, but for a tasting they will still bring out the same amount of food. There was another bride and groom at our tasting and they both brought thier parents and they all shared the 2 plates that were brought out.

we did a tasting the day we booked, actually before we signed and gave the deposit... they told us 5 ppl TOTAL, but we had 6.. us and both sets of parents.
we want to do ANOTHER one closer to the wedding... just the two of us.

We're allowed 6 people total, but I am going to try to ask to bring a 7th. I was thinking of bringign my FILs and there's room for one of them but not both. I will try to explain I'm a veetarian and can't eat half the food anyway
