Im just curious when are you looking for a place...and how long b4 the wedding are you moving in together? I was speaking to FH about it (we live together already)., I couldnt imagine the horror of looking for a place just before the wedding and on top of it Moving!

Well he has a house already. We were talking about this the other day. He said I have to start moving in before the wedding like April or May

lol depends what day you ask us we'll have a different answer hahaha.
We have discussed maybe a loft in LIC, would is perfect since its less than 10 mins from the city and you have a view of the ny skyline.
but also douglaston, little neck, massapequa.
BUT one place we discussed alot was staying in kew gardens/forest hills area which is where i currently live, fh said he would like this. Although part of me wants to move back to astoria which is where both of us grew up and he still lives there
So basically no clue yet lol but im not in a hurry...my dad always buys houses and apartments and hes away at the moment but when he gets back wanna see what deals he can get and find something for a good price.

hes going to be moving in with me so luckily we only have to deal with moving his stuff which isnt alot.

Although we live together now we want to move into a new place after the wedding. I already started looking for apartments. Want to stay either in Queens or the Nassau area.

I don't know when we're going to start looking and for what. Originally we were going to buy a house, but FH was talking about getting a place for about 6 months and use the money we get from our wedding towards our down payment. This way we'll have more towards it. I am so not up for moving twice in a year though. We'll see.

I have no idea....we have been looking here and there to see prices and what we can afford. If something comes up that we cant pass up then we will see then. If not I think 6 months before we will get a place.....we would like to get a condo or something but with the way this wedding budget is going its really hard so we might just settle for an apartment until after the wedding.
i dont mind as long as we are together and its ours.

We are currently living with my parents so it is day to day on how long we will last there. We are trying to hold out for as long as possible so we can hopefully buy a house instead of renting an apartment.
We have moved so many times in the last 3 years its like second nature to us so I am not too stressed about doing it right before the wedding.

I have no clue! Maybe the begining of the year. I'm sure it will take time and I dont want to be rushing it right before the wedding-enough things will stress me, this shouldnt have to. He thinks we are moving across the country right after the wedding-i said no way thats too soon. Maybe a year or so after the wedding we'll move (out west).

FH and I have been discussing this lately too. Obviously we would love to get a house, but a condo would be ok also. We want to buy something instead of renting, but I know that may be difficult. We plan on starting to seriously look next march/april and hopefully have something before the wedding so we can start moving in. We want to stay in the nassau area, our families all live within 20 minutes of each other!

LOL well im not worried bc my dad bought an apartment this year(not for himself, he has his own) that he is renovating and he said if we want we can move in there and just take over the payments, so we know this and thats why were not really freaking out about it

we're going to start looking for a place in November. We hope to start renting in January, this way we have two months to set everything up, but neither of us will be living there until after the wedding.

FH & I won't live together unitl we get back from the HM. He rents in the city and I just moved out of the city last year to buy a place in NJ, close to my family. When I bought the place, we knew that we would move there after we got married. We could move in together sooner- but both have always envisioned that happening with marriage (we're traditional in that sense). It is really exciting and gives us something to look forward to even more after the wedding! It tough at times b/c we are managing 2 households, but waiting and the excitement are worth it!!

I am sure that has to be soooo stressful, right now we are doing construction on our house, and i really dont know how FH works a gazillion hours a week and oversea's this huge project
