Girls who finished invites...

So I'm doing my invites and came across a question..when you invite a whole family i.e. lets say fh's aunt, uncle and children. All the children in the family have boyfriends..how do I address this? do they all get separate invites? tia

If it was a family with small kids I wrote famly

When it came to older children with a sig. other I gave them one seperatly...You could prob do it either way though

it depends on how old the children are. usually if they are over 18-20 years old, i would send them their own invitations, especially if they have a bf/gf that you are inviting also.

otherwise i would say just write 'and guest' next to the childs name.

if they all live in the same house - they get the 'Family' invite....no need for separate ones.

I'd personally say the age cutoff for separate invites is - if the person is over 21...they get their own - even if they are living at home...

i think if u want to follow 'etiquette' then u would send them their own (which means multiples to the same house )

but if its not something that bothers you and u dont want to waste $ on extra postage or use extra invites...then do the other option where you address it to the family and just list the parents, kid + guest (unless u know their name) etc all on the same inner envelope

personally, i would follow etiquette but not all of the people receiving will know or care about the 'rules'.

Re: Girls who finished invites...

im not thaaat great at explaining things easily....but ill try

you can assemble an invitation pack with the outer envelope (the one that has the return address and the guests address)

then when you open that up...some people put their actual invitation and the 'extras' (rsvp card, reception card, directions, etc) into another envelope inside the outter one.

on the inner envelope you would write the names of the people invited (its supposed to let people know who is in fact invited)

example for a single person with a date
outside: just to the person you know
mr matthew paris
1562 Stanhope Road
Dallas, Texas 75695

inner: the teo people invited
Mr Paris and Guest (or Mr. Paris and Ms. Potter)

married couple w/kids under 18 living at home
outside: just to the parents
mr and mrs james Burbon
etc
inner: parents on the first line, children's first names on a line below
Mr and Mrs Burbon
Nicholas, Jessica

hope that helps!
