Do you get 100 questions from the girls who do your nails!?!
If I didn't know any better, I'd say they were writing a biography!
Hell, my sister used to tell me how they would ask her questions about me and my FH (boyfriend at the time).
Today, one of the girls was asking a lot of questions, so I started throwing them right back at her. She thought it was pretty funny.

The girl that does mine does a great job but she hardly speaks english.She understands when I tell her to cut my nails shorter but if I try to make a comment about the weather or anything,she doesn't understand.

Same as Novemberbride. My girl knows my name and what I have done, but other than that, it's silent for me and I usually just read my magazine while she does my nails. She speaks broken English so I can never understand her anyway.

The girls that do my nails don't speak much English either, but somehow they manage!
Today, one asked me if I was going to 'prepare furniture' (she had preceded that question w/others regarding where I live and about my house.) I didn't know what she meant! Eventually I realized she meant 'buy furniture'.

Years ago I used to get my nails done by this other girl who didn't speak english that much either.She asked me something one day & I had no clue what she was trying to ask me & I never figured it out.

The woman who does my nails knows almost all my friends, their mothers and several female members of their families... so the gossip is kept to a minimum because it will spread FAST!!! Plus she runs the place w/ her husband and he gets mad when she starts....
There was this one time after I had recently lost a lot of weight and my friend's mom said that I looked like a boy because I was too skinny (nice, right? just because I was thinner than her daughter!) and my manicurist repeated it and her husband started yelling at her in Korean for gossiping!

No but they talk about me & my friends...so oneday I went with my Korean friend (they didn't know she was Korean), and we busted their ass talking about us! They commented on how I 'must have money because they saw me pull up in 3 different cars, I have a Movado & a big ring'. They should know I'm broke

I dont really talk too much with my nail people. They are Korean, but I hate when they talk in Korean to each other...I feel like they are talking about us.

Did you guiys ever see that Seinfeld episode where the Korean manicurists talk about Elaine in Korean? I always wonder if they are doing that to me. Mine are sweet (I go to one near work, and one at home) but don't speak English too well.

jennbaby, They flat out asked my sister if my boyfriend was rich!!! LOL! (this was before we were engaged.) I didn't work, so I guess they were wondering. They also asked her what he did for a living. My sister told them and the next thing I know, my sister is telling me that the owner wants my boyfriend to work a deal out her husband to import furniture! LOL!!! They knew so much about me and my boyfriend because of my **** sister.
