girls who get there hair straight

maximus in merrick does it.

its quite expensive. i used to be an assistant there and would work with the lady that did them. and althought she did an amazing job and it looked so nice after. You can only have it done i think every 6 months or so. so when your new hair grows in curly the bottome is still straght. so you then have to blow out the top while the bottom is already. straight.

Just something to think about. I have curly hair and was thinking about doing it. and after hearing that i would have 6 months of regrowth i decided not to do it. but to each his own.

i would look into it before deciding! theres tons of different products.

i always wanted to but am afraid to do that so for now i stick to my straighteren

I go to Hayato in Manhattan. They are great and very reasonable. I just went last week for the 4th time and paid $250. I used Tatsuya. They are all great though. Good Luck!! My hair always comes out amazing!!!!!!

I did it for my first time at Hair Village in Woodside. It came out amazing, but I just didn't like the whole atmosphere...LOTS of people, very crazy, crowded, hectic. No personal attention and it takes FOREVER (like allll day!)!!!!!!!!! However, its the cheapest you will find to get it done!

Not really. The bleach and the chemicals for straightening don't work well together.

you can get a keratin treatment which has the same effect, is less harmful on your hair and around the same price. (actually its like $200-$300 depending on how much hair you have - not sure what japanese straightening costs)

It lasts 3 months though, it doesn't grow out, it just goes away starting at 3 months.

this girl in my office gets it done and it look great, her hair is highlighted, just take some extra TLC to your hair
