Did you girls get an estimated arrival date for your dress? When I ordered they said that it would be in around April, but I had called to confirm that the dress was ordered right before Christmas and they did confirm it was ordered but they said that they order all the dresses so that the only come in 6 weeks prior to the date of the wedding. Im really concerned about this because I gave them my acutal wedding date thinking it would be here in April with plenty of time... Im not sure what to do... Any advice would be appreciated..

i lied about my date, put it for a month before. which makes me nervous bc it will be all paid for before all alterations done....

maybe call back in a week and see if you can talk to someone else?

I just dont get why I would be told 2 different things. I may go back with my mom soon cuz I have to find a head piece too...

ETA: Did they tell you the 6 week thing too or did they give you a different date?

i cant remember who told me what but i think they told me 6 months from when i ordered, which would be like may. 'we will call you as soon as it comes in' as an 'august' bride thats more than 6 weeks before!

i need to call this week to make an appt (do i need one) to try on dress with a veil to see how long of one i want. and to 'visit' :)

Def make an apt.. They get busy on the weekends, and that way you will have a consultant working with you. Its easier that way. I may do the same thing. Check with them tho and make sure that your dress really is coming in early and not that 6 week bs that the told me.

that it usually comes in about 2 mo before the date
and that they would call when it's in

nothing about ordering it to come 6 weeks prior. we have the same manufacturer right? maybe its not paradise but the manufacturer that 'prioritizes' by date?

My friend was married in October and hers came in September. I think they wait so it doesn't sit there forever. Everything was ok with hers though...

I ordered mine in April and it came in for November. I had my first fitting on December 4th because I had sleeves on it that I was getting cut off and wanted to give enough time to properly re-shape the top and make sure it's exactly how I want it.

I found that when speaking to the receptionist, she was extremely un-helpful. Call and ask to speak to your consultant that you worked with when you bought the dress. I did that and I was fine.

Lauren we do have the same designer, and thanks ladies for the reassurance. I was kinda worried that this was the beginning of the run-around. lol

I've been told mine should be in by March. That would be about 5 months from when I ordered (and about 5 months before the wedding). At my consultant's suggestion, I put my wedding date as earlier than it really is, but not by a whole lot. Definitely take note of who you speak to. Some people are very knowledgeable and others pretend to be...

I was in there today looking at bridesmaids dresses and they told me they order the dresses to come in 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. I needed the bridesmaid dresses one month prior to the wedding, because my nieces are going to college in August. The consultant made me put the wedding date as one month earlier so they'd be there in time.

I went there for my dress. I am a 2014 bride but i love my dress so much i feared it wouldnt be available closer to my wedding!! anyways, i gave them a wedding date of october rather than december. I am going to need a lot of alterations. I had to order mine in a size 16 because i have a very large chest, but only wear a size 4 in pants. It was done on purpose because of the amount of work needed to be done!! don't worry! you will be ok!!! most fitting usually take place 4 weeks before a wedding!!! :)

I actually just had to terminate my order with them, but I spoke to my consultant last night and she said my dress was estimated for arrival in May. (My wedding is 1/4/14 and I ordered on 11/26/2012)
