so sorry, but I totally can't remember. My mom dealt with it.

Aren't they capped at $400? I wanna say i paid around half that but truly can't remember.

I think i paid $250 - that included a french bustle.

I think it was somewhere between $400-500, but I had a really complicated bustle which added to the cost.

I think the alterations were about 200 and the bustle was another 150 so 350 in total but I purchased my dress in 2004 and when I went for my final fitting in 2005 they were quoting in the 425 region.

I havent gotten my dress yet but they told me that the alterations are capped at $375. So expensive!!!!

it means that they cannot charge you more if you need more alterations than the cost you agreed to pay. It also means that you theoretically could pay less if your dress does not need any alterations done to it.

ETA: I was MOH last weekend for my best friend's wedding and the alteration costs were capped at $50 for the dress, well since I only needed the dress taken in on the sides and that cost $20, I was only charged $20. Had the dress needed extensive alterations the most I would have had to pay was $50.

I think mine was about $325 or something close. Can't remember exactly.

They told me they were capped at $ 350. I didn't have a lot of alterations to my dress and I had one bustle, which they wanted to charge me another $ 125 for. I told them no way, they were crazy, They ended up charging me $350, which I still think is crazy.
