I know it sounds crazy but do you know how wide the bottom layer is? Obviously they could be different but Im going to get the one included with my RH (Jericho terrace)...I know some other rhs use Dortonis as well so Im just wondering. Probally would have a square bottom but round bottom measurements would be fine too.
I want to purchae a cake plateau (stand) so I need to know what size?
TIA!

Re: Girls who had a Dortoni Cake
you could try calling them up and telling them how many guests you'll have so that they can give you a size

Re: Girls who had a Dortoni Cake
Just called, they said for about 150-175 ppl, a square bottom would be 18 inches in diamter so I guess I could look for anything thats a little larger than that. Thanks again

Hi Lorin, JT doesn't provide that for you? Just curious - too many more things to buy and I don't want to add it to the list! Also, have you ever tried their cake? I have heard really good things and wanted to go out there one day!

Im not even going to bother putting it on a cake stand. They can slap our cake on a flat thing for all I care..... too much money being spent on useless things lol

Re: Girls who had a Dortoni Cake
Hey Kelly,
No I havent tried it yet...yeah Ive also read the great reviews from here so hopefully!! No, JT doesnt provide as far as I know...I mean I didnt call but I read reviews on here that they dont because Dortonis doesnt use them or rent them. Its definately not necessary; I just really like how it looks...I dont really care about getting a cake cutting set so I guess for me its a trade off.
Let me know if you get there to try the cake and Ill do the same...just that I would feel silly since Im still a year away but I guess no harm in tasting!

Re: Girls who had a Dortoni Cake
ohhh ok. Just was curious. FH and I are going to check it out one of these days. We don't want any fillings or anything so we wanted to go out and see what we can get with JT's cake options. We'll see but I will def. let you and all the other JT brides know how it goes!!! It's on my very long to do list!

Re: Girls who had a Dortoni Cake
Dortoni's is our FAVORITE bakery, we get cakes from them all the time. It was such an added bonus that the JT uses them!!
