Did any of you or do any of you plan on leaving the blusher on all the way up until your fiance lifts it for the kiss, instead of the person who walked you down the aisle?? Thats how you always see it on TV--but it doesnt seem like anyone does that.

Re: Girls who had or are having blushers????
I would like to do it that way, but there is a fear that you look like a ghost in the pictures taken during the ceremony. It's a lovely idea though and if you want it you should do it.

I'm not wearing it over my face for long. I'm giving my Dad one last crowning moment before he goes to his seat and after he walks me down the aisle. He'll lift it up over my face to give me away, so I can kiss him thank you!

my mom doesn't want me to wear one, she thinks it hides the brides face...but I kind of want to because it is traditional and you only wear it walking down the aisle...

its a little claustrophobic underneath there -- and i was stressed it was flattening my hair -- plus I liked that Dad lifted it and kissed me on the cheek :) do whatever your gut tells you - you can always change your mind!

Exactly - my dad lifted mine - because i knew i wouldn't be able to stand having it cover my face the entire ceremony.
And you def won't get as good pics of your face with it on.
Agree that its weird that movies/tv portray it differently. Then again, most ceremonies in movies/tv are like 2 minutes and not a full catholic mass!

I wore my blusher up until my DH kissed me. I don't think it effected the way I looked in pictures. It's the only time you will ever get to wear it. Just make sure your Dad puts it back correctly after he kisses you, mine didn't and it drives me crazy when i look at it.....
My dad lifted mine up after he walked me down to give me away.

I want to do that, but I am having a full mass, so the priest will have a hard time giving me the eucharist through it, so my dad will lift it when he gives me away

I wore the blusher as I walked down the aisle. Then my father lifted it when he kissed me and gave me away to my DH.

I plan on wearing it until my father does the hand-off. He will leave it pulled away after he kisses me

I had my dad lift it. It really was a nice moment and I think he was glad to have the honor of lifting it. If you're close with your dad, you might consider letting him lift it.
I love this pic of my dad just about to lift my blusher
