Did anybody buy your china? thats the only thing on my registry that hasn't budged..i really don't expect anyone to spend that kind of money either..did any of you get yours??

My FMIL bought us all 12 place settings and all the accessories (veggie platters/ covered casserole/ gravey boat/ sugar bowl/ creamer/ coffee pot/ and soup dishes.

Holy crap, that's amazing!!! Does she have any daughters?

I registered for a box that was service for 12, all included ( gravy boat, plates, bowls, tea cups, saucers, veggie platter etc..) from JcPenny's. IT was 70 dollars, white with a platinum rim...that was good enough for me,
so I ordered two of them in case stuff breaks. I just didn't want to get only like two plates and three bowls etc..and then have to buy the rest.

I just checked the registry and yep...I got it.

I think I picked the same setor at least similar. I felt the same as you, not wanting a couple of pieces and being stuck buyin gthe rest. My mom bought it for me for Christmas.

That is a good idea- also I like that you got two of the box sets in case stuff breaks- good thinking!

At my shower, my BF bought me one setting and I got an IOU from my sister for two settings! I'm nervous but I'm hoping that we either receive the rest as wedding gifts or hopefully we'll be in a position after the wedding to purchase the rest ourselves. But I DEF understand your nervousness!
Our glasses, towels, and bedding haven't budged either...

I got 9 settings (1 from FMIL, 6 at shower and 2 for an early wedding present). I also got 3 accessory pieces.

FH family are all big cooks and entertainers so they got a majority of it and a few of my aunts got some pieces.

I got my every day plates but none of my china and I decided I'm not getting it. I know I'm not going to use it.

we got 7 place settings and that was it. We just bought the rest of the settings plus the accent plates, gravy boat and we got the soup bowls for free.

I got all of my china place settings from friends and family when we got engaged....we did get a few serving dishes from our china collection at the shower...

I got 8 of my 12 place settings (most of which were from my mom!) I still didn't get any of the other stuff with it though... but i'm having another shower next weekend from FMIL so we'll see what happens!

we got every piece of our china and the matching glassware, and our holiday china serving pieces too (much of it for our e-party, the rest for our shower) and all of our everyday dishes. however, nobody touched our bedding.

i think it's bc our china/dishes were mainly BBB and the bedding is Macys and online only. maybe for the wedding...

i got everything from my china but see in my family we dont register for expensive china its just unheard of. so i got a set with a service for 8 and then registered for the 4 extra plus the gravy boat, s&p shakers. my 2 aunts and nanny chipped in on the set and my moms best friend and her 3 daughters got me the 4 extra. it was really generous of them. but i think each place setting was only 39.00 or so... heres what it looks like i think its classic and will never go out of style.. but hey most people only ever use their china like 3 or 4 times.
