She was super generous... got us a ton of our china stuff (bunch of place settings, tea pot, sugar & creamer, etc...). Also got me a Swarovski picture frame, and a bunch of other stuff. Oh yeah, and a bassinet.

Re: Girls who had their shower
Between FMIL and my mom , they completed my formal china set and the serving platters and bowls. FMIL also bought me some extra stuff like a cake platter some other stuff I can't recall off the top of my head.

Re: Girls who had their shower
A percalator. She didn't come to my shower because she lives in California, and was flying out 4 weeks later for the wedding. So she spent a ton of money on flights and 10 days of hotels, and could only send a small gift. I really appreciated that she sent anything at all; it was sweet. And thoughtful- we're coffee junkies and we love the percalator and use it every day.

haha they don't do wedding showers so none of his family members had a clue. The closest thing to a shower there is a baby luau. so they thought my shower which consisted of 28 people was an over the top event. They just don't get it. But I cannot get upset b/c its a cultural difference I guess. My FMIL is paying for our flowers, which is super nice.
