what should i be prepared not to get?

we were missing a piece a luggage...but we got all of the big items we registered for. There were things like an ironing board and vacuum that we have to use our gift cards for bc we didn't get.

My everyday dishes and glasses. coffe maker, ironing board (but got the iron), and little things that i really didnt need just wanted. the major things were the dishes and glasses. I got my fine china and wine glasses though!

BUt I must have gotten every kitchen electronic item off my list. & for a gadget person that is the best. Oh & my pots got that too.
I think people on my side wanted to get stuff I would use more. It depends on your family & their style which will give you an idea of what you may get

there really is no answer to this....because just because I didn't get something doesn't mean you won't - ya know?
Example - Dave & I had lived together for 5 years when we had our shower...so we only registered for things we actually needed or needed to upgrade.
We got many things that were on the registry, with the exception of the fine china that i had put on there only because i was told that I had to (by my bff's mom).
I know i tend to look a a shower list and get someone something i think they will USE or might need...so i will never get someone their china. I'd rather find a blanket, or towels that they can use regularly...

we are trying to leep our registry small so we get everything that we want - we didnt register for any bedding, towels or luggage - because those are things that we dont need right now and we dont really know what colors we are going to want for when we get a house - i rather get those things on my own...we did register for everything we'll need for our kitchen and we plan on keeping everything boxed until we move - then we'll throw out everything we have now and use in the apartment (which is a cheaper version of everything we registered for)

We did get:
2 pieces from our luggage set (they weren't in stock) Some toss pillows Reg pillows/ pillow protectors knife set (I knew no one would buy this) a few towels (registered for 4 different color sets) Air purifier (FH wanted this) a few pieces of bakeware & a hamper
We got everything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I went to return some items I bought the toss pillows , regular pillows, pillow protectors and a few other items with the credit from the returns!

pillows 1 of 2 bedding sets big stockpot some luggage storage/organization stuff dehumidifier (knew i wouldnt get)

My bedding. Apparently Macy's didn't have much of it in stock. I'm buying the rest of it myself with my rewards points and gift cards.

the only major thing we didnt get was a vaccuum and a few small things but we got pretty much everything we registered for!

I'm hoping for some Gcs or Checks so that I can get them. Otherwise, we'll be cold at night, wet and eating take out on paper plates.

alot of people also wait till the night before or even sometimes the morning of the showers to get gifts. so you still have time to get those things.
