Girls who have been on a cruise...alcohol question

Ok i know that alcohol is not included (like food is), but on avg. what would you say the avg price for a drink is? I'm trying to avg things out here. Thanks for any help!!

Depends on the cruise.. A lot have specials at certain times where they will have free drinks from 6-8 and things like that. But for the most part, I'd say the same price as a decent bar/restaurant. I'd say like $5-6/beer and $8-11 mixed drinks, depending on the alcohol. Have Fun!!!!

If you drink beer ask for a bucket. Its cheaper than buying 5 or 6 beers separately.

I recently went on a Royal Caribbean cruise, and the drinks were probably between $6-8.

pretty pricey... like $6-8. But make sure you specify WELL vodka or whatever you are drinking, otherwise they will give you grey goose!! we discovered that a couple of $13 drinks later

I was able to sneak a bottle of vodka in my luggage and had no problem (done this on various cruises many times). Every night we ordered orange juice and cranberry juice from room service. Saved us a TON of money.

mixed drinks are like 8 bucks and they put it on your ... so dangerous!! that bill will get big!!!

On the cruise I went on they had a different drink special everyday, it was about $5, then the other drinks are the same as going to a bar or club.

There were no specials on our cruise. We also snuck in a bottle but I did see them catch a few people with it from the luggage. The drinks were about $10. I went on carnival 2 years ago, im sure it's gone up a little.

Look at this stash... I believe it cost us 100 bucks and all those mini bottles in the background were FREE (This was being shared between like 5 of us...)

drinks are expensive on a cruise -- and they add up! so do tips!

if you can sneak alcohol on, it's probably a good idea ....

one of the great things about a non-cruise all inclusive is that alcohol is included and so are tips! if we had to tip for every included drink...

they do but they hold it for you until the cruise is over -- otherwise you could buy a liter of absolut for $9 and wouldn't have to pay $9 for a screwdriver with well vodka and fake OJ

you could buy duty free at a port and sneak it back on the boat if you are brave

We took about 10 bottles of wine packed in our luggage on our cruise. We were on princess. I remember the drink prices being fairly reasonable. Glasses of wine between $4-8
beers between $4-6 and mixed drinks $4 and up.

i went on crown princess and the alcohol was decently priced. I would drink bacardi and diet coke and it was about $3.50 a drink, some beers and drinks were $4-5.

i feel like the more inexpensive a cruiseline is, the higher the price of drinks... would make plenty of sense right?
