i wanted to maybe do a split HM. Few days at aventura and then an 8 day cruise. i wanted to do the cruise first but i dont think with the dates offered i can.
my question is...if i do aventura first i can only stay for 5 nights..maybe 6....do you think that would be enough to get enough out of that part of the vacation?

Adventura was a really nice resort. I had a great time the only problem with it is that is doesn't have a beach. If you want a beach and ocean, you cannot get it there.
Our package also included tons of excursions which made it even better. Since they were free, we met other couples at the resort that we did excursions with and that broke up the trip a bit. I think 6 days is enough time there especially if you are not doing the excursions or if they are not included, you might want to spend more of your money on the cruise.

we wanted to split our honeymoon there but it didn't work out, our resort didn't have a real beach but we had a great time. Plus you do lots of excursions. Check out trip advisor, you will be able to see pics taken by travelers.

i dont mind the no beach thing...pool is fine with me. i had read they had bad beaches there but the place lookd so nice

I love how the place looks, they have a fake beach, the ocean is not the crystal clear blue like other locations, some people are fine with that some aren't. My resort the water was not the crystal beautiful color, but we did travel to other beaches such as the beaches in Tulum (they were gorgeous!) so if you guys go out you won't miss much of not having the beautiful beach at the resort. My resort made up in otehr ways.
