How big of a cake are you getting? I just emailed another bakery for a quote on the Xbox cake I would like to do and the price is very good but they said the cake would only feed about 15 people.
Now I know I don't really need to get a HUGE groom's cake since we are going to have the wedding cake as well, but that seems awfully small, no?

In all honesty I have never been to a wedding in which we have eaten the grooms cake. Some of the weddings did not have a grooms cake and also did not have elaborate ones. I think a cake for 15 people would be fine.
I'm still up in the air about doing it for the RD or the wedding, but I definitely want to get this cake for him one way or the other.
The only thing that is drawing me into having it at the wedding is that it ties in with the Cake Topper for our cake (see album).

Haha cute! You can have it at the wedding, you just don't need to have to worry about feeding everybody with it. It is for fh of course!

I ordered a grooms cake (yoda) for the RD and it will feed about 15-20 they said and it was $75

I surprised DH with one for the rehearsal dinner. It was really yummy, but for the price I paid, I was expecting it to be better, I could have done this myself! The more I'm looking at it the more I'm getting annoyed by it lol. I didn't go to a bakery, my mom's aquaintance who has a small shop did it. oh well, ppl liked it anyway.
