when did you take your engagement pictures?

i stopped into my photographer today to revise my contract and she told me i should do my e-shoot soon so i can reserve a photographer.

i have 18 months to go so i was gonna do it in another 9 months, i guess thats too soon if i wanna grab the really good photogs??

when did you ladies take yours?

I don't think it matters when you do it, its just so nice to do it outside.

I'd just do it in your favorite season or when weather is best for it.

I love early spring, so we did our first batch at that time.

Or think about if you are going to use engagement pics for anything, what kind of looks your going for... etc..

I got engaged in January of this year, and will get married in May 2010. I will probably take e-pics in May of 2009. That way its at the one year mark, and can use for STD cards. :)

I took mine a year before only because I wanted my e-pics for the STD's. Oh, and because my mom is driving me crazy asking for pics for the newspaper, lol!

We decided not to take e-pics only because we can get so much more in the package if we choose not to do it.

I was thinking about a year before hand as well, but I have not talked to any photographers yet. If they recommend closer to the wedding as some people say that they use that shoot as a practice on you, then I would take their advice and maybe have a friend I know do my pictures for the STD.
