Call whose representing the seller
no you don't need one...i would just call the listing agent.....when looking for homes, you can work with different agents from different companies...the only thing i would NOT do is sign with an agent to represent you. basically, when an agent takes you to homes, you have to sign a piece of paper that basically states that if they show you this house, then they will represent you if you make an offer, that is fine.....HOWEVER some agents are sneaky and will ask you to sign that paper for a period of time...like a month or something. So then that means anything that you see in that period of time they represent you.....FH and I had a horrible experience will this. Kind of confusing to explain while typing. HTH!
just BE CAREFUL!!! I dealt with the seller's agent only when i first started looking last year. They work for the seller and have looking out for them. They ended up screwing me and I lost the house after we set a price and after i spent $500 on inspections. They were negotiating another offer without being honest about it while the inspection was being planned and done and told their lawyers were preparing the contract which they were not. So messed up. Not trying to scare you, just make sure you check every detail with them when you are dealing with only the sellers agent : )
