Girls who know about their shower...

do you plan to be there as guests arrive so that you can greet them and thank them for coming as they arrive.. or do you plan to make a grand entrance?? Just wondering cuz my mom and i were talking about it last night... this is my thoughts on it..

Id rather be there with FH as the guests arrive that way i can acknowledge each and every guest as they arrive. a cousin of mines shower was a few years ago.. she knew about the shower.. made an entrance and it wasnt a big grand one cuz she knew about the shower.. she pretty much snuck in and didnt greet anything till after gifts were done and people were getting ready to leave.. i thought it was rude so i want to avoid that..

whats your thoughts?

I agree with you...I think FH and I will be there to greet...I mean everyone knows we know lol how silly to make an entrance...ya know?

I'm going to get there early and help my mom and sisters set up. I know all about it, so it seems kind of silly to make a grand entrance. Plus I'd like to welcome people as they get there.

I think if you know about it, its a better idea to be there and greet everyone as they come. JMO

thanks girls!! my mom at first didnt agree with me then when i explained she got where i was going!! so im going to be there to meet and greet! its so soon!!!

I want to make an entrance but I plan to walk around to greet everyone asap! That is what my friend did and it worked perfectly (and she had 85+ guests!)

Yeah my mom is still pretty keen on me making an entrance a bit later so that is what we are going with. Have a great time whatever you decide...so soon...very exciting!!

And absolutely I think you should meet and greet. Mine wasnt a surprise and Im so glad it wasnt so i didnt have to pretend, ya know!

mine is 15 days away!!! and I don't know....my mom said she thinks she and the MOH and BM who will be staying at her house will go over to the location early to set up, and it would be best if FH could bring me when it's supposed to start....but now FH might have a playoff rugby game if they win their game tomorrow or their game next weekend..... I really don't want to drive myself to my own shower......

We meant for me to get there right as people were arriving, but not earlier ... because I didn't want to be in the way when Mom and the BMs were setting up.

I ended up hitting traffic, but I did get there while people were still mingling and getting settled in.

No grand entrance. Not my thing.

i made an entrance bc it was a surprise well i narrowed it down to 2 dates and somebody ruined it the day before lol but my family, his family and my friends all knew its a surprise shower. But as soon as i walked in i greeted all my guests and walked around to each table and said my hello's, hung out and talked with guests. We didnt open gifts until a while after i got there so i had time before. I know how much my mom worked to make it a surprise so i didnt tell her i knew bc i didnt want to ruin it for her ya know

I am not 100% sure yet. I know my family and BP will be a little upset with me if I go early and try and help them set up. If I am not there as guests arrive I will def. make sure to meet with each before the shower ends

I will be there to greet the guests. Since i know about it I like how I will be there for the whole party instead of missing the beginning to make the grand entrance....
