I'm moving to the Bethpage/Massapequa area soon and was wondering if anyone could recommend gyms around there.

When we lived in North Massapequa DH and I went to Fitness 2000 on Hempstead Turnpike at the corner of Merritts Road. They were reasonably priced and rarely crowded.
