girls who live on LI but got their dress at kleinfelds...

how will you be getting it home??? i am stressing sooo much about this.... if i take the train it has to be during a VERY off time so i could stretch it across many seats lol, but if we drive in I am trying to fit my cathedral length train in fh's or my dads truck without wrinkling it..... any ideas???

We are driving in to pick it up. Regardless of where you live/get your dress you always have to go pick it up, so having to go into the city would be no different then having to go 20 miles away on LI (as far as the wrinkle factor).

well i think there is a difference because driving in the city is not as smooth as on LI, a lot of stop and go... more traffic which means more time in the car which means more wrinkles...

I definitly would not bring the dress on the train....if you have a truck....put the seat down and lay the dress and cathedral veil down....if your in stop and go traffic that is not going to wrinkle your dress anymore than a straight ride.....As soon as you get home,,hang your dress and veil up..any wrinkles will come out...and if you have a steamer,go over your veil with it and the dress....

I will be driving. When I bought it, I went with my mom and MOH on a Sunday morning 10:00 am.....no traffic and we found a spot right in front of the place

I drove in with my parents on Tuesday to pick up my gown. I have a big gown, and a cathedral veil as well and it was fine. They press it before you pick it up, and package it very well. I laid it across the back seat of my Dad's car (on top of me ) and everything is fine. They will tell you when you pick it up to take it out of the packaging and hang it as soon as you get home. I had no problems. I wouldn't, under any circumstances, take it on the train.
