I have never heard of this before... do people often forget to put their name on the line?
Yes....I couldn't believe how many people forgot to put their names on my brother's rsvp

YES! I used an invisible pen I bought from Amazon, I actually think it was a child's toy, because it was called a Spy Pen. It worked well though. It did help us out because 2 people with the same last name RSVP'd yes, but didnt include first names, so I was able to figure out who was who. And I just thought it was fun using the special light to 'decode' the number, lol.

k Thanks! I was going to send out mid May since it is summer..then July 5th rsvp since wedding August 19th...just because people aren't quick with rsvps.
I'm getting married 8/20 - I'm sending out May 20 and the RSVP is 7/15

i only had a pen
so we wrote tiny tiny numbers on the back
...it helps later on trust me!

I just wrote their names on the RSVP card.... I don't see what the big deal is! Plus, it makes it easier on them becuase they have less to do and easier on me later on because I don't have to worry about people forgetting.

I did not, I only had 1 RSVP card come back without a name & we were able to figure it out by the postmark. Glad I didn't spend the time on it!

I put a number on the back with a pencil. I have to say it is so EASY!!! I look for the number on my RSVP list instead of the name because I go cross eyed looking at the names lol. But it was the best think I could have done

good idea! lol I heard that there's always at least one person who somehow misses that long line where you are supposed to put your name W-O-W

OMG most DEFINETLY do this!!!
I penciled in the numbers on the back and thank goodness I did because I must have gotten back about 15 cards without names!!
So annoying, but it happens! So you are better off being prepared!

soo you number your guest list- and then write the number that correspondes with their name on the back of their RSVP card?

My sister did the invisible pen on her invites and thank god she did she got about 5 invites back without the name or return address or anything. My brother hand wrote the peoples names and I will be doing the same.

I did the invisible pen. I was afraid that there may be some names I couldnt read even if people didnt forget to put them. Havent had to use it yet but we still have more then half of them waiting to be returned.
