Girls who took their honeymoon to ARUBA

Hey ladies! Can you recommend any hotels in Aruba? I could use any information for both all inclusive as well as non-inclusive hotels/resorts.

Thank you so much!!

We just got back from Aruba but not for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Westin and didn't do all inclusive. All I heard was not to do AI so that you could go to all the great restaurants on the island. So we didn't do it and had to do soooo much walking around for our meals. Keep in mind everything is really expensive in Aruba. I'm pregnant so I couldn't drink but I had a few non alcoholic frozen drinks at the hotel and they were like $8 each. I would definitely do all inclusive next time to eliminate the whole where should we eat breakfast/lunch...no I don't want to walk that far it's too hot thing.

The Hyatt looked like the most amazing hotel on the strip of high rise hotels. I heard some people at the airport saying that the Rui was just ehh - they said the food was not great and the beds were horrible.

We just stayed there for our honeymoon and it was amazing, we didn't want to come back! We stayed at the Hyatt and it was great! We didn't do all inclusive because there are sooo many good restaurants to go to and we didn't want to just limit ourselves to eating wherever we stayed. We got breakfast included with our hotel package so that really helped alot too. I heard that the Marriott and the Radisson are really nice too, they are all on the same strip.

We just got back from our honeymoon in Aruba and it was AMAZING. We stayed at the Hyatt and absolutely loved it. We walked all around and saw the other hotels and want to stay at the Hyatt next time we go too, we loved it so much. The people there can't do enough for you, the pools are amazing, the beach is nice and not as crowded as some other hotels down the strip. We mentioned we were just married the night before and they upgraded us to the regency club level where they put out food and drinks all day and you get a private lounge, and they gave us a bottle of champagne for being on our honeymoon... it was really nice and the beds were so nice, so was the view.

We were glad we didn't do all-inclusive because they have such great restaurants. We loved Flying Fishbone, Screamin' Eagle (you can eat dinner in a bed, lol, you have to request one when you reserve there), Texas de Brazil... we hated Madame Jeannettes and heard some people grumbling on the way out about how it was just okay, I would avoid that place... didn't go there but El Gaucho is supposed to be good too, people at the hotel were talking about how good it was. We went on the Kukoo Kunuku party bus and had soo much fun... and at the Hyatt we did this dinner on the beach thing our last night that was really nice and romantic.

HTH, we loved Aruba and can't wait to go back!

We fed it to the dogs outside!!! lol

I know I don 't get what all the hype is, we waited 40 minutes past our reservation, got the worst table in the place (next to the sink where the waiters come over to get water to serve) and it was just awful. We got to go boxes and split it into two and put it out for the dogs we'd made friends with outside.

my parents go twice a year and my stepdad said just yesterday how progressively worse madame jeanette's has gotten and told us that they won't go anymore and that we shouldn't either! he's supremely disappointed with it's downturn.

Look into the Riu in Aruba as well (it's all-inclusive). I have two friends who honeymooned there and were both very happy with their stays. But that's as much as I know!

occidental grand!

eta: even if you go out to dinner everynight, it's still worth it to get all inclusive for the drinks, breakfast, lunch, and free watersports! occidental had free sailboats, snorkels, rafts, etc.
