So, I'm sitting here thinking-wow- I could possibly be preggers in 4 or 5 months. Then, my next thought flashed to- ok, so who’s going to take care of this kid once it’s born? FH and I both have to work (unfortunately) and my mom has already said she’s not going to do it (even though she’s prob only messing with me). What do you girls plan on doing?

Well both of my sisters kids will be in school by the time have a baby and my mom is retiring in June so my parents will....
Shaun has been toying with the idea of opening a daycare... so thats always an option...

me and FH always talk about this. other than hiring a day nanny we really have no options. my parents are in another country and his mom works more than full time that is why instead of getting pregnant immediately we will wait a bit to save
this is the one thing about having a baby that is just a big issue with us

that's the reason why we are not going to have children right away. i want to enjoy being married...not be a mommy right after my wedding. sounds a little selfish, i know.....but its the way i feel

We won't be having a baby until we can afford for me to
A) stay home
or
B) hire a nanny
I don't want to put my baby in a daycare w/a bunch of other kids...so I guess we better strike it rich soon

It's crazy right, thinking how soon we can be pregnant!??!?! We want to try right away. FH has baby fever like crazy. Im ready to start right away too, but the thought that 'wow, this is really happening soon!' is crazy! So exciting, but scary too!!
I dont know what we're going to do! I want to stay home and raise the kids until they are 3-4 and go to nursery school.
I know our moms will help a lot! We are going to have to make it work with me at home, or working part time.

We're not getting pregnant right away but my mom is retired and can watch the baby fulltime when we do.

same here - once you have a child it's forever. and as bad as we want one (or two or three) we want to enjoy being newlyweds first.

this is the reason why we are not trying to get pregnant right away. FH is currently unemployed so we are waiting until he finds work before we even discuss starting to try. then it will really depend on a whole list of factors. the main one being where we are living.
ideally i want to stay home until the kid starts school full time but we shall see.

I would LOVE to work from home. If i cant figure out how to do that than its going to be up to FH (he is a fireman so he can have 3 days in a row off) & a babysitter. Possibly also some help from his parents too.

same here! but i know this will still be an issue when the time comes. if you ever read the book 'bait and switch,' it will definately make you think twice about staying at home :-/

NO idea. :(
We don't have mothers near by so that option is out even though I know my mom would probably come for the first month or so to help out. For those that are planning to start right away don't forget to set up an appointment with your doc so they can run blood work. Ask any questions, what kind of prenatal vitamins YOU should take etc. My OB/Gyn gets booked WAY in advance...called 2 weeks ago and the earliest appointment I could get was in mid April!
