we were not married in Oct. But if you are worried I think you have a few options. I am assuming you want tropical weather since you seemed concerned.
1. get insurance for your trip if its in the caribbean
2. go to one of the ABC islands which are all below the hurricane belt as well as Brazil
3. look into hawaii, fiji, french polynesia, maldives
4. If the above is too $$ look into Thailand or Bali

Aruba is out of the hurricane belt completely.
By October, most hurricanes hit futher north, more towards the southern US, so a lot of the lower Caribbean is safe.
We went to Antigua for our honeymoon and the weather was lovely.

We went to St. Lucia in October and it rained every day lol..
that is why we took a second honeymoon in March 2009 to Mexico :)

We got married in September but took our honeymoon in October. I didnt want to risk rain everyday on our honeymoon so we went to Cabo.
It was worth it. Not a cloud in the sky the entire week....

You should be fine then, but I'd get travel insurance as a precaution. The policies generally aren't too expensive.

yes we were wed in october and went to costa rica. it rained everyday. poured for 3-4 days straight.
we are going to DR in July

i was nervous b/c it is the end of the hurricane season. we went to bermuda and probably had one overcast afternoon, but the rest of the week was beautiful and perfect temp everyday! i also have a friend that went to st.lucia in october and another who went to aruba in october and neither had problems either!

We went to Riveria Maya in mexico and got some sun during the day, but it did rain everyday

We went to Mexico (playa mujeres) and it was a little chilly when the sun wasn't out and it did rain once ot twice but I heard the week before we were there it poured everyday

We went to St. Thomas in Oct. It was gorgeous weather the whole week we were there.
Prior to going I called a lot to ask about their hurricane season. They said it wasn't very rainy but it was usually just humid. We didn't do insurance on the trip.
