Girls who wore their hair down with curls

I've had my hair done twice half up with curls and after a couple hours my whole head of curls turns into about 3 or 4 big 'little bo peep' curls. Does this happen to anyone else?

is your hair really straight to begin with? Perhaps they're not using enough mousse/spray/gel?

I just scheduled my trial and my girl told me to wash it that morning but to use a good amount of mousse and to not blow it out straight with a round brush like i normally do.....she said to just flip my head upside down and blow it as if my hair were curly.

Try that....if your hair is a little dirty the curls should hold a little better.

I have VERY thick hair with long layers and my curls never stay in....personally I always end up liking them more towards the end of the night when they are more loose and have fallen out.

My hair person had to 'tease' my hair to death with a lot of hairspray. My hair does not hold curls at all.

My hairdresser said EXACTLY the same thing. It's because I have fine hair that tends to get greasy and limp after a few hours...

I just had my trial Monday...down wiht curls. We sprayed it a lot...just have your stylist spray it and keep spraying it! My hair is weird and the curl did hold all day. I'm hoping for the same the day of the wedding!

I have the same problem with my hair because its very straight so whenever I get curls I cannot have the hairdresser use just a curling iron-she sets it first with the old fashion rollers. A lot of new places don't use them anymore so I go to this not so fancy salon where there's one lady who does hair really good. The setting takes like two hours but see if they can do that.

thanks girls....unfortunately my problem isn't that the curls loosen it's that they actually clump together from about 100 curls to like 3 or 4 clumped curls.
