girls whos BM ordered their dresses

how many months before the wedding did you have your girls order their BM dresses? just curious. thanks!

They were ordered in the beginning of January and we're getting married in May.

some of them went to order them in nivemebr but since they are still all not measured they will not order them yet ...i am hoping to have them done within a week

We ordered ours at the end of November, and they are not supposed to be in until the end of March.

It depends on the designer. I was told that I have to order them this month.

We stumbled onto a BM dress before I even planned to start looking so we ordered early -- I think all of them had their measurements/deposits in by early Oct. However, our bridal shop 'stalls' orders so they come in 2 months before your wedding... I didn't realize not all places do this. I would have loved for the dresses to come in early.

However, I added a BM and she's ordering her dress this week or next week and she still has time (although it's close).

I'm getting married the same day as you and we are ordering this weekend...I was told by the dress shops to make sure I order by April b/c the dress takes a min. of 12 weeks.

We ordered ours in August for my April wedding...but don't go by me. I have serious OCD and do everything EARLY!!

6 months before gives you enough time to make sure there are no worries.

my girls orders went in in October for my april wedding.

They just ordered theirs this past weekend and they said their dresses should be in by July and my wedding is in Oct.

Wedding is in May and the girls ordered their gowns in the beginning of September. They ALREADY CAME IN though!! So we definitely went on the early side!

i ordered mine in january and getting them beginning of april WOO HOO thank god...but this is bc i did it through RK bridal, they get the same dresses as other places but get them in quicker...on their site it says bm dresses should take 2-3 months...if its longer then they dont order directly from the manufacturer and thats why, which is why they get theirs fast.
