I would actually appreciate that also. My skin is SUPER dry and that causes my breakouts. Can anyone recommend a good moisturizer??
Thanks.

I used to have problematic skin and my skin is also sensitive so I had a hard time finding products that worked both to moisturize and clear up problems. I finally found a combination that worked for me: first, I started on orthtricyclen and that helped with my pms breakouts which were my main problem. I use Biore Blemish Fighting cleanser to wash every pm & am, Neutrogena Pore Minimizing scrub once a week and Neutrogena healthy skin moisturizer. The neutrogena products came recommended by my dermatologist and they are really great. The moisturizer is totally non-greasy, weightless and has NEVER caused me to break out like all others! Hope this helps you ladies!

I had horrible acne all through out high school. Finally my dermatologist put me on Accutain. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. My face was so horrible there were days I would not go to school and just hide out in my room. Now, you would not believe the difference. I have perfect skin. The only thing is its a very strong drug and you need to be put on birth control while you are on it & go for blood work every 6 months to monitor it.

For Nav -Did you ever try clinique dramitically different moisturizer? I swear by it!

I went on accutane too..and it was a GOD sent!!!! I used to hide out to..I was crazy obsessing with my skin, nothing else worked for me..accutnae was AWESOME!! I actually went on it a few times because I got so picky, if I even developed a small blemish, one that noone could see, i went right back to the dermatologist and he put me on it again, so that Id never get another zit again. I also know that brevoxyl in the mroning works and differnin gel at night, its prscription..I use it 'just in case' when Im PMSING< these topicals keep even the tiniest of zits away!!!! Good luck.

I use MURAD which is advertised on television to clear up my acne and I use Ponds cream to moisturize my skin, especially in the fall/winter months.

I went on Accutane in preparation for the wedding. It is the best drug EVER. I have not had one pimple since I started it. You must stay on it for 5 months.

Just the other day, someone said to me 'You have the most beautiful skin.' I almost fell off the chair.

I went on Accutane years ago but I still break out. I plan on going to my derm in about 2-3 months to plan something to make my skin clear for next October. I was thinking of doing some peels.

That Clinique moisturizer( the yellow original one) is mostly mineral oil and it can really screw you up. Something oil-free could be better.

I did Accutane too (I''m on it right now- 1 more month to go).. it''s amazing.

If you want to use something that is not prescription, I would also recommend the Neutrogena products. They have a gel you use at night time - I think it''s call Pore Minimizing gel - it clears up your skin and moisturizes too. And they have a lot of cleansers that all work well. You have to give it some time before you notice a huge difference - you''ll see small results within about a week, but give it a month or so before you see how well it will work for you.

I have always broken out from clinique''s yellow moisturizer . . .

I bought purpose cleansing bar and neutrogena healthy skin face lotion w/ alpha hydroxy acid, and neutrogena on the spot treatment. I am not QUITE ready to go the dermatologist route, however I am open to it if necessary. Keep the suggestions coming!!!

NAV023 if your skin is really dry, try Creme De La Mer. It is very expensive(about 100 dollars an ounce) but it really is the best product. I have dry skin in the winter and it works wonders !! It also evens the skin tone out. I get it at Saks.

La Mer works for some people but those with acne and dry skin can have problems it is filled with irritants and minerael oil.

I use a three step system called Zap It! I purchase it through a wellness company. It''s called Melaleuca. I used pro active solution and all those expensive products and got some results but not like I do with this. I love this stuff and I have great results. It''s $ 21.50 for the facial wash, deep cleaning astringent and pore clarifying cream.

I WOULD TRY CETAPHIL. IT IS DERMATOLOGIST RECOMENDED, ALSO I DO NOT RECOMEND CLINIQUES ACNE STEP PROGRAM I HAVE READ HORRIBLE REVIEWSON THAT STUFF . MY FAVORITE IS MARIO BADESCU SOLD IN NORDSTOMS OR THEY HAVE THERE OWN WEBSITE , THEY HAVE OIL FREE MOISTURIZERS AND ENZYME FACIAL CLEANSERS I READ ABOUT IT IN GLAMOUR WHEN THEY ASKED GWENETH PALTROW WHAT SHE USED. HOPE THIS HELPS

If you truly do have acne then there is nothing an over-the-counter solution will do for you... it''s all about the dermotologist.

However, if you just have a pimple here or there, then I recommend treating with any benzoil peroxide topical from the drug store and applying compresses with hot salt water to dry it out...

I don't have acne but I get a lot of breakouts and my FMIL told me about Nutri Beauty from Isomers. It is sold on ShopNBC.com. I was using Clinque and I noticed that my face was getting worse and she told me to use this and My face cleared up within a week and 1/2. I tried something last month and my skin looks horrible now, saturday I ordered my Nutri Beauty on rush delivery. It is a little expensive because you get 4 8oz bottles, its a 4 step process in the morning and 3 step in the evening (you omit one of the morning steps) for $49.98. Right now they are having a sale if you order it ground it is free shipping and they didnt charge me tax.
They also have a spot treatment that you use when you get a pimple, I barrowed it from FMIL because I never bought it before and it works really great. If you are not satifised you have 30 days to return it just keep your receipts and you get your money back regardless of how much you use. Two of the little bottles last about 6 months and the cleanser and moisterizer last about a month in a 1/2 and you buy everything seperatly, the first time you buy it, it is a set. I know this is a lot of info but I swer by this stuff.

I also used Accutane about 6 years ago and it truly is a miracle drug!!! I still get occasional pimples, but they are the harmless type that come and go with my period - no more of the cystic stuff. I only wish I had used it sooner!
