Girls with acne prone/problematic skin . . .

Original post by BriBri529

Can anybody share their skin care routine and products that they have had sucess with in terms of clearing up their skin? I can't seem to find a routine or full line that works for me . . . Thanks Girls!

I have been on accutane too - and went on it 2 mos. before the wedding to ensure perfect skin on my wedding day and it delivered.
My skin was flawless that day!

Accutane is an amazing drug, but as stated above, VERY STRONG and you have to be very careful to not get pregnant while you are taking it. It can cause SEVERE birth defects.

Just an FYI....

But Sassy75 is right - anyone who has acne is not going to get results from an over-the-counter product. GO SEE A DERMATOLOGIST....it is SO WORTH IT!

If you haven't broken out from it then you shouldn't worry. Most people with acne will have a hard time tolerating this stuff, the oil-free version of it would work better.

I also did the accutane thing to. probably like, 5 years ago. It was great! I have used Clinique soap & toner ever since (2 level i think), and have been fine. I've started trying the Neutogena pore refining cleanser, but i have to use toner more with it (have had a zit or 2 with it). Am thinking of going back to the old routine..

for the rare breakout, i use the Clinque overnight acne stuff at night. it works GREAT.

i guess i sound like a commercial, but it works for me :) Good luck!

I am starting Accutane tomorrow (just came back from the dermatologist!) so I'm so happy to hear all these rave reviews. For the past few months I have been doing what Aliciahelene mentioned: brevoxyl in the morning and differin at night but that's just not doing the job 100%. All the side effects they tell you about are scary but I'm really glad so many people are saying its worth it!
