Girls with Ballgowns

What kind of crinoline did you get?
Full, very full?

I bought 2.

One with hoops which I think will be a pain and uncomfortable for some reason and one very full one which I hope is not too full.

UGGHHHHH! How aggravating!
I am bringing both to my fitting but I worry neither will be good.

Jenn - you are going to make yourself crazy until the fitting! One of them will work and if not, maybe David's has a better one or maybe the seamstress can make a suggestion. Take lots of pictures and we can vote on them! I wish I had a better answer for you, but you know that I'm in the same situation.

I got a hoop for my dress and I think it looks beautiful. It was much prettier sitting down than the crinoline. Lets see if I can get a pic....

beth did the hoop tend to go up when you sat? did you lay down with it? (I will be for pics).

The hoop doesn't pop up. It collapses into iteself when you squat or lie down.
And when you sit the weight of the dress keeps it down.

I have a 6 bone hoop and granny is sewing in ruffles to each bone..

Hmmm the one i tried my dress on with originally was a 'scarlet ohara' the biggest they had, havent bought one yet though

yeah, Tara it's something very similar to that.. but still having her put ruffles on it.. have the best of both worlds.. without the scratchy, and hotness of the crinoline or having it go between my legs and falling on my face like I do normally lol
