Girls with Bill Levkoff Dresses

My bm just told me today that they ordered her a size that was 8 sizes larger than her street size (normally 14, ordered her a 22)- my sister is normally a 2 and they ordered her a 4, my fsil is normally a 10 and they got her a 12

I think the bridal shop is ripping off my friend, since its a plus size, she had to pay more

I'm crashing here.....BUT....I tried on a Bill Levkoff bridesmaid dress 2 months ago for my friends wedding. I am normally a dress size 12, so I planned on a few sizes....bringing me to perhaps a 16....I had to order a 20:( When I got measured I was actually measured for 3 different sizes....like a 16, 18 & 20! I was a 20 because of my bust, 18 for my hips and 16 for my waist....I tried on a 16 which did fit me funky.....unfortunately I had to pay extra for plus size, but it was only like $15!

I was really down at first. This was done at Macy's in Lake Grove. If you google Bill Levkoff dress sizes, you could see the chart they use for sizing....and maybe it will become more clear.....but regardless it's a bummer.

Its not the bridal shop its actually the maufactuer. they do that so you pay more for the bigger sizes. But the shops do push you to order bigger and then they are able to hit their cap for alterations...

I'm a 8, and I had to order a 18 for a bill levkoff dress about 4 years ago. I was so annoyed.

My BM had to do that too b/c she was preggo! It was frigging huge!!!! They had to major alterations and it ended up looking fine but it was BS.
