since we can't wear them for the reception are you wearing another veil then? I want to wear a veil for the reception but i feel like a blusher is too 'plain' & not 'flooffy' enough for me? am i weird for thinking this?

I'm doing this too. If you wear the right kind of blusher with a particular cut, and fullness it will have the right look! Here's a pic of my hair trial and you will see the blusher on me. I got a cascading sides cut with satin cord edging and I think regular fullness. I believe it's elbow length too.
You can get more ideas at www.obridal.com- she has a huge gallery of her veils. That's what helped me!

my cathedral veil was detachable... so after the Mass and pictures, i wore the under layer, which was finger tip the rest of the day. pics in my album.

I am wearing my cathedral up until the first dance and I think i might take it off.... if I feel the need to wear something I will wear the blusher but I think I am going to take it off...

I have a cathedral and fingertip veil that will be velcroed together and after the church and pictures...the cathedral comes off. I'm not having a blusher.

Will wear just the fingertip and cathedral for pictures.

I was planning to take my cathedral off for reception and wear no veil, but now I think I might get a small birdcage veil for reception and wear it back, more as a hair accessory for reception. It goes with my vintage look. Kind of like this, but not quite.
I ordered a veil with a detachable cathedral. So then I can just wear the blusher and finger tip veil at the reception. I'm picking it up tonight from Barron's, so we'll see what I think later!!

I originally had just a cathedral veil. Just trying it on made me realize that I needed something else too! LOL! It was so annoying and hard for me to feel comfortable in. So, Denise Leli was kind enough to make me another veil-- the length is in between elbow and fingertip. It comes from the same spot on my head as my cathedral did-- it's just not so darn long! Then, I can take my cathedral and just put it on when I'm ready to walk down the aisle and then take it off whenever I want but still have the veil for pics-- And then maybe I'll put the cathedral back on for some pics. Then, I'll wear my shorter veil for my grand entrance-- and take it off completely after our first dance to showcase my custom crystal spray!
So, yeah totally get another veil-- Just make sure that they know the blusher needs to be attached or temporarily attached to the SHORTER one-- not the cathedral.

I wore a cathedral and took it off right after pictures. I actually preffered not wearing a veil for the rest of the night but thats a personal preference that you have to make! good luck!
