Girls with highlights in your hair

I've been contemplating between dying my hair back to its natural color or keeping highlights..I just got my hair done yesterday and i went with a more natural light brown highlight so my hair is darker (i'll try and get pics up soon),....but i'm not sure if i should get my natural color back for my wedding pics..what are you girls doing?

i like the hilights...i just went back to hilights just 2 months ago from my natural...i go back n forth all the time but i think i'm going to stick with hilights bc it softens me :)

i like the hilights...i just went back to hilights just 2 months ago from my natural...i go back n forth all the time but i think i'm going to stick with hilights bc it softens me :)

thats how i feel..it gives my hair more dimension and shine..but than i think i want to look like myself in my most natural form in my wedding pics..so its hard

see, if i keep my natural (dark brown) with my skin tone and my pale ivory dress im going to SO look semi Goth! lol...i have that feeling...and bc my wedding is in Oct. i know i will have somewhat of a nice golden tan so Hilights will for sure compliment my look..does that make sense? LOL

omg me too! i have dark brown hair also !! so i feel the same way..and in august i'll be tan as well..

I did highlights a week before my wedding after being at my natural dark brown color for years. It looks gorgeous in the photos and adds a really nice lift. I would def do it.

I'm up in the air about what to do. Over the years my hair has gotten darker, so I've usually done blonde highlights and my hair was always a dirty blonde color. But most recently I had my hair toned down to match the color from the roots, so it's darker than it's usually been. I kind of like it because it's less of a hassle and looks natural. But I keep thinking that maybe I should do the blonde highlights for the wedding considering I was blonde most of my life. But I also feel like with the veil and tiara, you really don't see the hair all that much - I mean I know you can see it through the veil, but I feel like you don't see the color as much. I'm going to wait until the end of summer to decide what I should do and maybe ask FH what he prefers.

I am keeping the highlights, but I went darker like you did to match my natural color
I will get them touched up a week before

I was going to go with a more natural look but when i went light with my highlights everyone loved it!!! so i think i'm gonna keep it like this!

im keeping my highlights. my natural hair color is a darker blonde, the highlights lighten it up a little.

i went back to natural. I got tired of the roots and the expense.

I also started to think.. what about when i have kids? If im correct youre not really suppose to color your hair. so am i going to keep it natural? then Im going to look so different from my wedding pictures..

I just started to think about all the past years and how many different colors my hair has been and started to think i need some consistancy

eta - my hair is so much healthier now

I am keeping my highlights...even tho they are a bit chunky! My hair is colored for curly hair (chunky shows better)...but when its straight its alittle zebra-ish! LOL!

Anyway, I have gone dark and had toners put on and people always freak out and say what did you do???? So I am just leaving as is. I do agree with what other people said...the highlights show up nice in pictures!!!!

I do like your color....it will look beautiful with some highlights! But I am curious to see the new pics!

I just went back to my natural color and added low lights, I love it and I have gotten alot of compliments.

I actually decided to go back to highlights and I am getting them done next Sat. I figured it was enough time to figure out if I really like them and want them for the wedding. I definitely feel they give my hair more dimension. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I will post pics when I get them done

ive let my natural color grow out....and im gonna get the ends dyed back to natural color before the wedding and then the week before im getting it highlighted

i had highlights for 7 years and then went back to my natural color for a year...two weeks ago i re-highlighted it and i think i'll keep it this way for the wedding
