what does letterpress mean? i googled it and some sites say it is raised and others just mention that it can be made w/ heat? lol TIA!

i ordered mine at Bloomindales - but they are from Dauphine Letterpress so you can pretty much get them anywhere.

Thanks!!!! Yours were beautiful!!! I really fell in love with Bella Figura Letterpress but thier only office is in Syracuse and I'm so nervous about ordering online :(

They use a plate.... with all your wording and its actually pressed into special paper with ink

letterpress is pretty expensive, but we were able to save a little money by doing the direction and accomodation cards with an identical flat print. so only the envelopes, invite and response card were done in letterpress.

If your ordering online just make sure to get a sample or something so you know the quality of paper

made with heat is called Thermography not Letterpress.
Letterpress is when a plate with ink is pressed into the sheet.

I think it is super important to find out the weight of the paper... This will let you know how thick the paper is when letterpressed. The heavier the weight, the more letterpressed it looks.
We used Crane Lettra which was an ok weight but I would have preferred heavier.
