Girls with outdoor ceremonies ...

Girls with outdoor ceremonies ...

I was reading Martha Stewart Weddings' website and she said that if you're having an outdoor ceremony, it would be very nice to hand out single use suntan lotion towlettes ...

to do this would probably cost around $75-$100 for my 130-ish guests.

i like the idea, i don't like spending the $$$ (especially if it ends up raining or something)

is anyone doing this? should i bother with this?

TIA

I wouldn't bother....I went to an outdoors wedding in June a few years ago. Yes it was warm outside, but it was for like 20 minutes or so.

My suggestion: spread the word that you plan to have ceremony outside, and those who need to have sunscreen will likely apply it at home. Also, remember not everyone even uses sunscreen.

ITA. You can't predict the weather, esp so far in advance.. and the ceremony really only lasts for about 20-30 mins... so i'd save the $.

it can be better spent elsewhere.

We had an outside ceremony in June and our guest seemed comfortable even with the weather.

It was only partially cloudy when we started the ceremony and 20 minutes later the clouds rolled in and it started raining (luckily we just finished our ceremony and squeezed in a few pictures). The weather changes so quickly in the summer that I would hate for you to spend all that money on something and it not to be used.
